Community Guidelines
Illegal or Regulated Activities
Tapnudge cannot be used to facilitate crime, promote unsafe regulated goods, or mislead users about serious decisions.
What this means for nudges
Nudges should help people decide everyday questions, not coordinate illegal activity, sell restricted goods, or normalize dangerous behavior.
Not allowed
- Promoting, selling, or facilitating illicit drugs, weapons, explosives, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, or criminal services.
- Human trafficking, human smuggling, organized crime, gang recruitment, or instructions for unlawful activity.
- Reckless weapon use, illegal gambling, predatory financial schemes, or deceptive medical/legal/financial claims.
- Nudges pressuring people into regulated decisions without proper context, qualification, or legality.
Allowed with care
- Personal preference questions about lawful products, when the nudge is honest and not used to sell restricted goods.
- Educational or safety-oriented discussion that does not teach, encourage, or facilitate illegal conduct.
Enforcement
Illegal or regulated activity may result in content removal, account action, and, where appropriate, reports to law enforcement or other authorities.
Questions and Examples
Can I ask which product people prefer?
Usually yes, but not if the product is illegal, unsafe, restricted, counterfeit, or promoted through deceptive claims.
Can I ask for medical, legal, or financial advice?
Tapnudge is not a substitute for qualified professional advice. Avoid nudges that could mislead people about serious health, legal, or financial decisions.
